TPS Cloud Axis vs. Karbon, Jetpack Workflow, and TaxDome: What You Actually Pay

TPS SoftwareSeptember 1, 20263 min read

If you're evaluating practice management software, the feature lists start to blur together after the third demo. The number that doesn't blur is what you actually pay, per user, per month, once the trial ends. Here's exactly how TPS Cloud Axis compares to Karbon, Jetpack Workflow, and TaxDome on that number.

TPS Cloud Axis Pricing, Plainly

Three tiers, billed per user per month, with no onboarding fee:

  • Entrepreneur, $18/user/month: full time and billing, WIP/AR history, batch invoicing, and client inquiry access.
  • Pro, $25/user/month: everything above, plus workflow management, calendars, the client communication log, and employee task management.
  • Ultimate, $34/user/month: everything above, plus multi-office consolidation, the secure client portal, e-signature, ePayments, Power BI, and AI MCP integrations.

How That Compares

vs. Karbon

Karbon's Team plan runs $59/user/month billed annually, or $79/month if you bill monthly, and the monthly option only opens up at 4+ users. Its Business plan runs $89/month annually, or $99/month billed monthly.

TPS Cloud Axis Ultimate, at $34/user/month, already costs less than Karbon's entry-level Team plan billed monthly, and it's well under half of Karbon's Business plan either way you bill it.

vs. Jetpack Workflow

Jetpack Workflow's Starter plan is $49/user/month ($480/year). Premium runs $59/user/month ($600/year).

TPS Cloud Axis Pro, at $25/user/month, already undercuts Jetpack's Starter plan by nearly half. Even our top tier, Ultimate at $34/user/month, costs about $25 less per user per month than Jetpack's Premium plan.

vs. TaxDome

TaxDome doesn't bill monthly. It bills annually, upfront, and the per-seat price depends on how many years you commit to. Converted to a monthly equivalent so it's comparable:

  • Essentials (solo practitioners only, one seat): $58-67/month equivalent, depending on whether you commit to 1, 2, or 3 years upfront.
  • Pro: $75-83/month equivalent per seat, with the same 1-to-3-year tradeoff.
  • Business: $92-100/month equivalent per seat.

TPS Cloud Axis Ultimate, at $34/user/month, costs roughly a third of TaxDome's Business plan, and you're not locking in a year (or three) of payment upfront to get that rate. If your firm has any staff at all, TaxDome's single-seat Essentials plan isn't an option; you're already looking at Pro or Business pricing.

If Your Firm Uses TaxDome and CPA Charge, There Is Something Worth Knowing

TaxDome's own help center confirms it: CPACharge integration support inside TaxDome ended May 10, 2026. Firms that had that integration set up are now being pointed to TaxDome Payments for US firms or Stripe for Canadian firms instead, whether they wanted to switch processors or not.

TPS Cloud Axis still integrates directly with CPA Charge on the Ultimate plan, alongside Stripe, PayPal, Clover, and PayClix. If your firm liked its CPA Charge setup and doesn't want to be forced onto a different processor just because your practice management platform dropped the integration, that's not a tradeoff you have to make here.

The Bottom Line

Feature lists across these platforms overlap more than any of us would like to admit. Price doesn't. TPS Cloud Axis's Ultimate tier, the plan with the most built in, including multi-office, e-signature, ePayments, and Power BI, still costs less per user per month than the entry-level plan at Karbon, Jetpack Workflow, or TaxDome.

And unlike TaxDome, TPS Cloud Axis does not require paying a year (or three) upfront to get that price.
